A Little Snooze.....

Holy cow, did I just hear the cutest story! My mom has her 80+ year old friend visiting her, Hilda. The cutest roundest silver-curled Aussie lady ever. They were on opposite sides of my parents senior retirement pad sitting on patio stools pulling weeds from potted plants. My dad came outside, passed Hilda, to go to the other side of the house to talk to my mom for 15 minutes or so- and when he came back around to go inside he startled Hilda who went over to my mom to say "Gennie, I didn't see Joe come outside before"
A few moments later, when my mom mentioned to my dad that Hilda didn't seem him go outside of the house, he replied "That's because she was sound asleep".

She was taking a wee snooze in the Florida sunshine.
awe.

Thursday night was the anniversary party for the Palm Beach Orchid Society....SHIN-DIG!

The theme was "Luau" and there were Mumu's galore.

Can someone say buffet(boo-fey)?

The action was pretty still until after dinner was over...

Then someone pulled out the cards for a game of....
Orchid Bingo!

The first little old grandpa to win announced his success by saying quietly "my wife says I have Bingo" (....precious)
Fun was had by all. There was also a silent auction. As you can see, things got a little heavy between Kitty and Alma for a white sphacelatum. Don't mess!!

Can't wait till next year!

Patrons de Coursan

This is Josette and her husband Jean-Jaques. The have lived in Coursan their whole lives. When I told them the name of the family I am working for- they recited to me my address. Yes, the town is that small... hahShe didn't want me to faire un photo parce que elle n'est pas habillee! (she's not dressed!) but I couldn't resist...

He is 84 years old and a bit cross-eyed. I fucking love him!

I was actually shopping for one of these mumu's this morning at the Super-U. Only 9.5 euros....hmm... but I couldn't find one under a size 46 and they fell way below the knee... meh.....
Dressed or not, I think she looks great, and I will leave the mumu's to the sweet old ladies~!

her husband was just classic, simple- matching belt and shoes, and the hat adds the perfect touch of style. shortly after this he asked me if my camera was a phone and a camera too. no, pas de telephone,c'est seulement un camera ;) too fuckin cute.
